White Blank Page—Mumford cover

Some of you are going to freak out at me when you watch this, but that's a risk I'm willing to take. So calm down. I know not everyone loves Tay, and I also know that everyone claims to love Mumford. So T. Swift covering Mumford is clearly going to stir up some controversy, hurt feelings, repressed childhood memories, etc...
Bear with me, guys.
She does a fantastic job of bringing herself to the table with a song like this.
She does it with unmatched emotion, and it's etched all over her face.
You can tell that even with her little doll-like features, she's experienced deep hurt and betrayal before. And she's lived to sing about it.

My favorite comment on the YouTube video was this one:
"Thumbs this up if you assume every dislike of this cover comes from angry 18-26-year-old hipsters who are upset that their precious Mumford and Sons have become—God forbid—popular."

"...tell me now where was my fault in loving you with my whole heart..."

i'll say it. i'm a fan of Tay. AND i'm a fan of Mumford. and this cover stirred up more emotion in me than i was prepared for. not only because i kept waiting for the build up that Mumford so casually nails in their version...that never happened. but also because you're absolutely right. she sings the hell outta this song. popular or not, the girl's got depth. i think even Mumford could respect that.

thank you for sharing. seriously.

thanks for posting this. as i both love mumford and t swift.

is it bad that sometimes i want to punch hipsters in the face? it's not that cool just to be different for the sake of being different. in fact, in my humble opinion, its like the anti-cool.

hahah..maddie.. I love this entire post. Especially the quoted youtube comment. Hipsters are a dying breed in my opinion. They are getting to be too popular for there own selves.
