...if not for the sole reason that Trader Joe's is back to selling daffodils for the truly unbeatable price of 10 stems/$1.29.

They really know how to brighten up a room, those little buds do...although I still prefer stumbling upon little patches of wild bulbs, like crocuses, springing up where you least expect them. Especially when you plant them in the summer, and then months later, in the heart of winter, shoots of radiant color are scattered all over the dead ground. Spring does my heart a lot of good.
